A laptop that spends its day on a construction site, in a patrol vehicle, at a utility location, or in a field service truck has a very different job from one sitting on an office desk. The Panasonic Toughbook 40 is designed for that difference. It is a fully rugged 14 inch laptop with a bright outdoor display, modular expansion, hot swappable battery capability, strong environmental protection, and configuration options built around demanding mobile work.

At Tough Rugged Laptops, we focus on Panasonic Toughbooks because rugged computing often comes down to details. You may need a bright touchscreen, a second battery, true serial connectivity, a barcode reader, additional storage, or a particular authentication option. The FZ 55 gives you a modular platform that can be configured around those requirements rather than forcing you to work around a fixed consumer laptop design.
